Great spot to see fish jump the falls and do a tiny little hike. Good hiking area for preschoolers.
I've visited Lucia Falls in all four seasons and each season has its own beauty! My favorite time to go is in late Fall or early Winter when the falls hold such power in their fullness! My last visit was last week (early November) and we viewed 2 bald eagles and salmon jumping up the full falls. It was amazing and majestic! There's always a space to park in the free parking lot. Even when the parking lot is crowded, the park is spread out enough for you to have a semi-private encounter with nature. There are men and women bathrooms and they are always clean (for being in the woods). It always feels like you're walking into a dark forest due to the towering evergreens, even when it's bright and sunny out. In the summer, the lack of rain dries up the falls enough to allow you to climb the rocks (not too hard for kids or out of shape) and explore parts of the riverbed. Maybe I'm just sentimental about this place but I love it and it's a good way to spend an afternoon.
The falls and park are lovely. They have picnic tables. Don't bring swim wear because the water is off limits to protect the fish habitat.
Only thing better than the views here are the rocks! Perfect for 1:10 scale RC rock crawlers!
Amazing view of the Luscia Falls! Great place to take the family and hike around the rocks. Heads up, no swimming allowed here!
We also like to bring our rc crawlers here, by far one of the best crawler playgrounds in the NW!
